Conservative poli­ti­ci­an Mathilda is actual­ly in favor of strict­ly guard­ed EU exter­nal bor­ders. Things beco­me all the more dif­fi­cult for her when she is asked to help her old fri­end Richard accom­mo­da­te Malik, who has ille­gal­ly ente­red the coun­try from Morocco. Mathilda’s second-gene­ra­ti­on assistant Amina also ques­ti­ons her own posi­ti­on when Malik beco­mes the tar­get of a ter­ro­rist inves­ti­ga­ti­on fol­lo­wing a bomb attack.
