The Singaporean screenwriter, director, and current DAAD fellow Yeo Siew Hua (1985), has chosen another contemporary Asian cinema film alongside his third feature STRANGER EYES (2024): POETRY (2010) by Lee Chang-dong. Both films boast renowned performances by leading actresses: Lee Kang-sheng, the star from Tsai Ming-liang’s films in STRANGER EYES, and the legendary Yun Jung-hee, who has returned from retirement for her role in POETRY.
The presentation of fellows from the Berlin Artists Program of the DAAD, which has traditionally taken place at the Arsenal cinema for decades, will continue as part of Arsenal on Location at fsk Kino at Oranienplatz.
