In the nor\u00adt\u00adhern Chinese city of Manzhouli, they say the\u00adre is an ele\u00adphant that sim\u00adply sits and igno\u00adres the world. Manzhouli beco\u00admes an obses\u00adsi\u00adon for the prot\u00adago\u00adnists of this film, a lon\u00adged-for escape from the down\u00adward spi\u00adral in which they find them\u00adsel\u00adves. Among them is school\u00adboy Bu, on the run after pushing Shuai down the stairs, who was bul\u00adly\u00ading him pre\u00advious\u00adly. Bu\u2019s class\u00adma\u00adte Ling has run away from her mother and fal\u00adlen for the charms of her tea\u00adcher. Tragically, it will also be the final chap\u00adter in his lega\u00adcy. On October 12, 2017, the artist took his own life at age 29.<\/p>\n
