Jean-Fran\u00e7ois, Ronald, Alexis, C\u00e9dric, Benoit and Maxim are the main cha\u00adrac\u00adters in TA<\/span> PEAU<\/span> SI<\/span> LISSE<\/span>, an inti\u00adma\u00adte por\u00adtra\u00ady\u00adal of a group of \u201cSupermen\u201d. Despite the men fin\u00adding them\u00adsel\u00adves at dif\u00adfe\u00adrent points in their lives and care\u00aders, they all share an obses\u00adsi\u00adon with their bodies, meti\u00adcu\u00adlous\u00adly honed and in com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adon with each other. Their dai\u00adly lives are caught up in a maso\u00adchi\u00adstic and nar\u00adcis\u00adsi\u00adstic deli\u00adri\u00adum, aided by extre\u00adme die\u00adting and exhaus\u00adting work\u00adouts. But what dri\u00adves the cha\u00adrac\u00adters to push them\u00adsel\u00adves to the limit?
\nRather than tack\u00adle the sub\u00adject head-on, Denis C\u00f4t\u00e9 shows us the absur\u00addi\u00adty of com\u00adple\u00adte\u00adly sur\u00adren\u00adde\u00adring your body and soul to the pur\u00adsu\u00adit of self-repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon, to the \u201csuper me\u201d. But TA<\/span> PEAU<\/span> SI<\/span> LISSE<\/span> is not a film about seduc\u00adti\u00adve moments in the typi\u00adcal sen\u00adse of the word, despi\u00adte clo\u00adse-ups that are so extre\u00adme it\u2019s as though the direc\u00adtor lite\u00adral\u00adly wants to get under the skin of the cha\u00adrac\u00adters. Despite the lay\u00aders of mus\u00adcle and fle\u00adsh, what counts in this film is the sin\u00adce\u00adri\u00adty of the moment. The film is an ode to the fra\u00adgi\u00adli\u00adty of human exis\u00adtence. (Muriel Del Don)<\/p>\n
