But while it might appear the fled\u00adgling hus\u00adband and wife are suf\u00adfe\u00adring from wed\u00adding night jit\u00adters, it beco\u00admes appa\u00adrent that some\u00adthing else is crea\u00adting the divi\u00adde as the ine\u00advi\u00adta\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty of phy\u00adsi\u00adcal inti\u00adma\u00adcy looms ever closer.
\nGorgeously len\u00adsed by Sean Bobbitt (12 Years a Slave) and impec\u00adca\u00adbly adapt\u00aded for the screen by McEwan hims\u00adelf, Dominic Cooke\u2019s quiet\u00adly heart\u00adbrea\u00adking debut is a work of subt\u00adle res\u00adtraint, cap\u00adtu\u00adring the intri\u00adca\u00adci\u00ades of the source mate\u00adri\u00adal with grace and delicacy.
\nRonan shi\u00adnes as the hesi\u00adtant young bri\u00adde, ably sup\u00adport\u00aded by rising star Howle, both of whom express so much, even when their cha\u00adrac\u00adters strugg\u00adle to find the words. For a film in which many emo\u00adti\u00adons remain uns\u00adpo\u00adken, this melan\u00adcho\u00adlic love sto\u00adry speaks pro\u00adfound\u00adly about the fra\u00adgi\u00adli\u00adty of human rela\u00adti\u00adonships and the des\u00adtruc\u00adti\u00adve natu\u00adre of silence.<\/p>\n
