Over the cour\u00adse of a thousand years, the exu\u00adberant natu\u00adre of Japan\u2019s eas\u00adtern coast has beco\u00adme inter\u00adwo\u00adven in the lives of its peo\u00adp\u00adle. Here, the earth is sacred \u2013 but now, it is tain\u00adted with the invi\u00adsi\u00adble dan\u00adger of radia\u00adti\u00adon. For tho\u00adse who have deci\u00added to stay, the rural sce\u00adne sur\u00adroun\u00adding the cripp\u00adled Fukushima Daiishi nuclear power plant remains the place they call home \u2013 their furu\u00adsa\u00adto, the first place they expe\u00adri\u00adence as child\u00adren and the last one they will see befo\u00adre they die. A monu\u00admen\u00adtal por\u00adtrait of a woun\u00added com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty and an unspa\u00adring look at the human cost of pro\u00adgress, the film illu\u00admi\u00adna\u00adtes the four years that fol\u00adlo\u00adwed the worst nuclear dis\u00adas\u00adter of our time. Here, no one mea\u00adsu\u00adres in half-lives. This is about eternity.<\/p>\n
