They come in the night, tear fami\u00adlies from their sleep, give them just enough time to pack and put them on a pla\u00adne: this is the role of the so-cal\u00adled \u201atrans\u00adpor\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon com\u00adman\u00addos\u2018 com\u00adpri\u00adsing poli\u00adce offi\u00adcers and immi\u00adgra\u00adti\u00adon offi\u00adci\u00adals. Last year, over 22,000 fai\u00adled asyl\u00adum see\u00adkers were depor\u00adted from Germany. The docu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adry DEPORTATION<\/span> CLASS<\/span> pres\u00adents a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsi\u00adve view of this sta\u00adte enforce\u00adment mea\u00adsu\u00adre for the first time: from detail\u00aded plan\u00adning in the office to night-time ope\u00adra\u00adti\u00adons at asyl\u00adum see\u00adker accom\u00admo\u00adda\u00adti\u00adon blocks and the arri\u00adval of asyl\u00adum see\u00adkers back in their respec\u00adti\u00adve home\u00adlands \u2013 and the ques\u00adti\u00adon of what awaits them the\u00adre. Following exten\u00adsi\u00adve rese\u00adarch, the film crew led by Carsten Rau and Hauke Wendler were pre\u00adsent at a coll\u00adec\u00adti\u00adve depor\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A pro\u00adject favou\u00adred by Interior Minister Lorenz Caffier who was pre\u00adsent in per\u00adson at the depor\u00adta\u00adti\u00adons. Haunting, moving images unli\u00adke any\u00adthing seen befo\u00adre, repea\u00adted week after week as hundreds of asyl\u00adum see\u00adkers are flown out, most\u00adly to the Balkans. Two years ago, Rau and Wendler docu\u00admen\u00adted how Germany reac\u00adted to the\u00adse new arri\u00advals in their hit film \u201aWillkommen auf Deutsch\u2018. With DEPORTATION<\/span> CLASS<\/span>, they show whe\u00adre things lead as the mood shifts against the refu\u00adgees. As more and more count\u00adries are declared to be \u201asafe count\u00adries of ori\u00adgin\u2018 and basic rights are rest\u00adric\u00adted. The film depicts the\u00adse \u201aretur\u00adnees\u2018 as peo\u00adp\u00adle with digni\u00adty and their own opinions.<\/p>\n
