The Taiwanese film\u00adma\u00adker Edward Yang shows in his film Yi Yi \u2013 A One and a Two the life of a fami\u00adly in modern Taipei. NJ<\/span> is a man in his mid-for\u00adties. He is mar\u00adried, a father of two child\u00adren and suc\u00adcessful in his job \u2013 still he is no lon\u00adger hap\u00adpy with hims\u00adelf and with his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While NJ<\/span> starts seing his old fla\u00adme again his mother-in-law is in a coma. It is NJ\u2019s eight year old son who gui\u00addes us through ever\u00ady\u00adday life of the fami\u00adly and who asks cri\u00adti\u00adcal ques\u00adti\u00adons and sur\u00adpri\u00adses the spec\u00adta\u00adtors with his expe\u00adri\u00adments in the water. The older sis\u00adter has her first expe\u00adri\u00aden\u00adces with love and lear\u00adns that one can not force felicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
