\u00c1ngela, a deaf woman, and H\u00e9ctor, her hea\u00adring part\u00adner, are expec\u00adting a child. They are exci\u00adted about the pregnan\u00adcy, alt\u00adhough they do not yet know whe\u00adther the baby will be deaf or hea\u00adring. Despite both clai\u00adming they can hand\u00adle wha\u00adte\u00adver comes, their under\u00adly\u00ading con\u00adcerns are evi\u00addent. After a com\u00adpli\u00adca\u00adted and emo\u00adtio\u00adnal\u00adly inten\u00adse labour, \u00c1ngela gives birth to their daugh\u00adter, but the pair will have to wait a cou\u00adple of months to learn if the baby is hea\u00adring or not. During this time, H\u00e9ctor strug\u00adgles to ful\u00adly grasp the chal\u00adlenges \u00c1ngela is facing, while she must come to terms with rai\u00adsing a daugh\u00adter who may not share her expe\u00adri\u00adence of the world. This jour\u00adney forces both of them to ques\u00adti\u00adon their roles as part\u00adners and par\u00adents, as \u00c1ngela grapp\u00adles with her iden\u00adti\u00adty in a socie\u00adty that does not ful\u00adly accept or under\u00adstand her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
