A street in cen\u00adtral Warsaw is the focus of this wit\u00adty and per\u00adso\u00adnal por\u00adtrait of Poland. Filmmaker Arjun Talwar immi\u00adgra\u00adted to the coun\u00adtry a deca\u00adde ago but still strug\u00adgles to fit in. Ulica Wilcza, the street whe\u00adre he lives, has not real\u00adly hel\u00adped mat\u00adters. In an attempt to acce\u00adle\u00adra\u00adte his inte\u00adgra\u00adti\u00adon, he beg\u00adins film\u00ading his neigh\u00adbours, sound\u00ading out his rela\u00adti\u00adonships with them and see\u00adking ways to over\u00adco\u00adme his own fee\u00adlings of ali\u00aden\u00adati\u00adon. With the help of his fri\u00adend Mo, ano\u00adther immi\u00adgrant-tur\u00adned-film\u00adma\u00adker, Arjun unco\u00advers the hid\u00adden secrets of the street, reve\u00adal\u00ading a host of char\u00adming inha\u00adbi\u00adtants. He finds other peo\u00adp\u00adle like hims\u00adelf who are living bet\u00adween the past and pre\u00adsent, bet\u00adween an ima\u00adgi\u00adned home\u00adland and the real one. The street con\u00adnects them all like an invi\u00adsi\u00adble thread, offe\u00adring solace in the melan\u00adcho\u00adly of ever\u00ady\u00adday life. Along this kilo\u00admet\u00adre-long stretch, a pic\u00adtu\u00adre of modern Europe emer\u00adges, expo\u00adsing a kalei\u00addo\u00adscope of con\u00adtra\u00addic\u00adtions and anxie\u00adties as a for\u00adeign film\u00adma\u00adker holds up a mir\u00adror to a coun\u00adtry that is often per\u00adcei\u00adved as homo\u00adge\u00adneous, unwel\u00adco\u00adming and poli\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly right-wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
