He\u2019s right the\u00adre with them, up clo\u00adse, as the par\u00adents Yehuda and Chaya try to deal with their fear \u2013 or to sway the fate of their adult daugh\u00adter and her hus\u00adband in dia\u00adlo\u00adgue with the aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adties. As a <span class=\"caps\">US<\/span> citi\u00adzen, Yehuda flies to the <span class=\"caps\">USA<\/span>, accom\u00adpa\u00adnied by Liat\u2019s son, who is bur\u00adden\u00aded by more than the public atten\u00adti\u00adon, and Liat\u2019s sis\u00adter, who will try to cushion Yehuda\u2019s tem\u00adper and anger. Because even within this fami\u00adly views are pola\u00adri\u00adsed: despi\u00adte his pain, the father takes a cri\u00adti\u00adcal view of Israel\u2019s role in the Middle East con\u00adflict. He is a paci\u00adfist and will not be dis\u00adsua\u00added from the path of recon\u00adci\u00adlia\u00adti\u00adon, even at the geo\u00adpo\u00adli\u00adti\u00adcal epi\u00adcent\u00adre of diplo\u00adma\u00adcy and trau\u00adma.
