Libu\u0161e Jarcovj\u00e1kov\u00e1 docu\u00adments her life with ana\u00adlo\u00adgue pho\u00adtos and dia\u00adry ent\u00adries. Her Czechoslovakian home\u00adland is in the repres\u00adsi\u00adve pha\u00adse of \u201cnor\u00adma\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adon\u201d after the sup\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adon of the Prague Spring in 1968. The young pho\u00adto\u00adgrapher sear\u00adches for islands of free\u00addom in Prague as well as her sexu\u00adal iden\u00adti\u00adty; her came\u00adra is her con\u00adstant com\u00adpa\u00adn\u00adion. One of the\u00adse islands is the T\u2011Club, a mee\u00adting place for the que\u00ader sce\u00adne. When a mur\u00adder is com\u00admit\u00adted and the poli\u00adce beco\u00adme inte\u00adres\u00adted in Libu\u0161e\u2019s pho\u00adtos from the club, her per\u00adso\u00adnal jour\u00adney of eman\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adon is abrupt\u00adly cut short. She enters into a mar\u00adria\u00adge of con\u00adve\u00adni\u00adence and moves to West Berlin. But this new world is also fil\u00adled with obs\u00adta\u00adcles. Using the last of her money, she flies to Tokyo and, for a short time, beco\u00admes a sought-after fashion pho\u00adto\u00adgrapher the\u00adre. Continuing to search for the life she wants to live, Libu\u0161e\u2019s path leads her back to Prague via Berlin after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Using only pho\u00adto\u00adgraphs and the dia\u00adry ent\u00adries she reads out hers\u00adelf, the artist \u2013 tog\u00ade\u00adther with the film\u00adma\u00adker \u2013 inti\u00adm\u00adate\u00adly rela\u00adtes her search for iden\u00adti\u00adty, ever\u00ady\u00adday strug\u00adgles, phy\u00adsi\u00adcal\u00adi\u00adty, rela\u00adti\u00adonships and emotions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
