Basel Adra, a young Palestinian acti\u00advist from Masafer Yatta on the West Bank, has been fight\u00ading the mass expul\u00adsi\u00adon of his com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty by Israel\u2019s occu\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adon sin\u00adce child\u00adhood. He docu\u00adments the slow-moti\u00adon era\u00addi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon of the vil\u00adla\u00adges in his home regi\u00adon whe\u00adre sol\u00addiers deploy\u00aded by the Israeli govern\u00adment are gra\u00addu\u00adal\u00adly demo\u00adli\u00adshing hou\u00adses and dri\u00adving out their resi\u00addents. At some point, he meets Yuval, an Israeli jour\u00adna\u00adlist, who sup\u00adports him in his efforts. An unli\u00adkely alli\u00adance deve\u00adlo\u00adps. But the rela\u00adti\u00adonship bet\u00adween the two is strai\u00adned by the enorm\u00adous ine\u00adqua\u00adli\u00adty bet\u00adween them: Basel lives under mili\u00adta\u00adry occu\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adon while Yuval lives free\u00adly and wit\u00adhout rest\u00adric\u00adtions.
