Following In the Shadows<\/em>, the film Scorched Earth is the second part of Thomas Arslan\u2019s Trojan tri\u00adlo\u00adgy. Twelve years after care\u00ader cri\u00admi\u00adnal Trojan was forced to flee Berlin, the search for con\u00adtracts leads him back to the city. Trojan is bro\u00adke and urgen\u00adtly needs a new job. But Berlin has chan\u00adged and his old cont\u00adacts are no lon\u00adger of much use. Plus, Trojan\u2019s maxim of only ever working for cash is hard to fol\u00adlow in an incre\u00adasing\u00adly digi\u00adta\u00adli\u00adsed world. So it takes some time befo\u00adre the midd\u00adle\u00adwo\u00adman Rebecca final\u00adly offers him the pro\u00ads\u00adpect of a lucra\u00adti\u00adve con\u00adtract: a pain\u00adting by Caspar David Friedrich is to be sto\u00adlen from a muse\u00adum. The heist unites Trojan with geta\u00adway dri\u00adver Diana, his for\u00admer mate Luca and the young Chris. Everything looks pro\u00admi\u00adsing, but the shadowy cli\u00adent and his hench\u00adman Victor have their own plans for the pain\u00adting. Soon it beco\u00admes less about the money and more about get\u00adting out alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
