War and Justice is the first and only true-life docu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adry about the International Criminal Court (ICC<\/span>), thanks to unpre\u00adce\u00adden\u00adted access to Ben Ferencz, Luis Moreno Ocampo (ICC<\/span>\u2019s first pro\u00adse\u00adcu\u00adtor), and Karim Khan (its cur\u00adrent pro\u00adse\u00adcu\u00adtor). Film direc\u00adtors Marcus Vetter and Michele Gentile fol\u00adlow Ocampo around the world as he enlists the sup\u00adport of Academy Award-win\u00adning Angelina Jolie and as they join Ferencz in the uphill batt\u00adle against wars in the Congo, Libya, Palestine, and Ukraine. In the cour\u00adse of the film, the com\u00adple\u00adxi\u00adties of inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal law are given a face, and the view\u00ader under\u00adstands why tho\u00adse who launch wars of aggres\u00adsi\u00adon, the mother of all war cri\u00admes, can hard\u00adly be brought to jus\u00adti\u00adce while the world\u2019s lar\u00adgest mili\u00adta\u00adry powers \u2014 China, India, Russia, and the United States \u2014 remain unwil\u00adling to reco\u00adgni\u00adze the ICC<\/span>\u2019s jurisdiction.Sadly, just as the film is about to debut, Ferencz dies at the age of 103. But Ocampo and Khan fight on in his honor, more deter\u00admi\u00adned than ever to put an end to all wars of aggres\u00adsi\u00adon. Because war begets reven\u00adge; jus\u00adti\u00adce does not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
