Since her debut at the age of 18, musi\u00adci\u00adan, civil rights cam\u00adpai\u00adgner and acti\u00advist Joan Baez has been on stage for over 60 years. For the now 82-year-old, the per\u00adso\u00adnal has always been poli\u00adti\u00adcal, and her fri\u00adend\u00adship with Martin Luther King and her paci\u00adfism have shaped her com\u00admit\u00adment. In this bio\u00adgra\u00adphy that opens with her fare\u00adwell tour, Baez takes stock in an unspa\u00adring fashion and con\u00adfronts some\u00adti\u00admes pain\u00adful memo\u00adries.
