Katja, Sascha, Benni, Laila and Sch\u00f6ller. These five young peo\u00adp\u00adle have more in com\u00admon than just the fact that they are living in pro\u00advin\u00adcial Germany free of paren\u00adtal inter\u00adfe\u00adrence. They have one last win\u00adter tog\u00ade\u00adther befo\u00adre they finish school, then they are sup\u00adpo\u00adsed to know what they want to do: stay or lea\u00adve. In bet\u00adween home\u00adwork and smo\u00adking dope, mar\u00adti\u00adal arts trai\u00adning and gos\u00adsi\u00adping about deflowe\u00adring peo\u00adp\u00adle, they explo\u00adre their fee\u00adlings in all kinds of dif\u00adfe\u00adrent rela\u00adti\u00adonships, sear\u00adching for each other, hiding, kis\u00adsing and fight\u00ading. They want to live, to con\u00adquer the world and find out who they real\u00adly are. They are young and exu\u00adde an envia\u00adble natu\u00adral\u00adness when it comes to gen\u00adder iden\u00adti\u00adties and roles, abo\u00adve all Katja, play\u00aded by Marie Tragousti with a lot of new fema\u00adle power. Melanie Waelde\u2019s fea\u00adture debut is tre\u00admen\u00addous\u00adly inten\u00adse and vibrant. Going bey\u00adond cuten\u00adess, she draws the\u00adse \u201cnaked ani\u00admals\u201d with a raw, sen\u00adsu\u00adal and sen\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adve open\u00adness rare\u00adly seen in German cine\u00adma. On the cusp bet\u00adween the end of child\u00adhood and bur\u00adgeo\u00adning matu\u00adri\u00adty, body and soul are still more or less united.
