They\u2019re a strong, loving fami\u00adly in which ever\u00adyo\u00adne sticks up for ever\u00adyo\u00adne else. While Ricky gets by with odd jobs, Abby is a care worker for the elder\u00adly. No mat\u00adter how hard they try, they know that they will never real\u00adly be inde\u00adpen\u00addent or own their own home. But then it\u2019s sud\u00adden\u00adly now or never! Thanks to the digi\u00adtal revo\u00adlu\u00adti\u00adon, a temp\u00adting oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty comes Ricky\u2019s way and he and Abby go all in: she sells her car so that Ricky can buy a deli\u00advery truck and start afresh as a self-employ\u00aded cou\u00adrier. The future seems rosy. But the pri\u00adce for Ricky\u2019s inde\u00adpen\u00addence pro\u00adves far hig\u00adher than they ima\u00adgi\u00adned. Die famili\u00e4ren Zusammenst\u00f6sse bleiben nicht aus \u2013 und dennoch ist der Zusammenhalt der Familie das Einzige, was jetzt noch z\u00e4hlt. Altmeister Ken Loach ist zur\u00fcck \u2013 und dies mit voller Wucht. Nachdem er mit seinem letzten Film \u00abI, Daniel Blake\u00bb in Cannes die Goldene Palme gewonnen hat, zieht er in seinem neusten Werk die Schrauben weiter an. Doch bei aller Kritik am englischen Sozialsystem richtet sich sein Fokus in erster Linie auf die einzelnen Menschen, die kleinen R\u00e4dchen im grossen Ganzen.
