Stevie is 13, but looks a lot youn\u00adger. As always, it is sum\u00admer\u00adti\u00adme in L.A. and Stevie is despe\u00adra\u00adte to hang out with the big boys. At home his older brot\u00adher tyran\u00adni\u00ads\u00ades him; his sin\u00adgle mother is rare\u00adly the\u00adre. When Stevie meets a group of cool dudes at the local skate\u00adboard shop, ever\u00ady\u00adthing chan\u00adges: the Ninja Turtles pos\u00adter is repla\u00adced by a pin-up girl, he beg\u00adins prac\u00adti\u00adcing skate\u00adboar\u00adding at night in front of the house and it is not long befo\u00adre Stevie smo\u00adkes his first cigarette.
\nActor Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street<\/em>) has paid gre\u00adat atten\u00adti\u00adon to detail in order to resur\u00adrect the 1990s for his direc\u00adto\u00adri\u00adal debut. His sto\u00adry of a teenager\u2019s dif\u00adfi\u00adcult search for reco\u00adgni\u00adti\u00adon and the right fri\u00adends unfolds with gre\u00adat ease and ple\u00adnty of music. Replete with mix\u00adtapes, VHS<\/span> cam\u00adcor\u00adders, Nintendo PlayStations and a good dose of nost\u00adal\u00adgia, Hill\u2019s 16mm film takes us into the world of a boy who is test\u00ading his limits and is in dan\u00adger of gro\u00adwing up too quick\u00adly.
