Unexpectedly, the German aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adties offer the Ecuadorian direc\u00adtor Dario Aguirre German citi\u00adzen\u00adship. In this ten\u00adder\u00adly iro\u00adnic road movie, he por\u00adtrays the com\u00adpli\u00adca\u00adted path he took from the coun\u00adtry of his foref\u00ada\u00adthers to that of his children.
\nAguirre actual\u00adly came to Germany becau\u00adse of Stephanie from Ecuador, but the aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adties have always been a part of their rela\u00adti\u00adonship. In the ensuing 15 years, they issued a total of 10 visas. This long trail of docu\u00adments, stamps, per\u00admits and rest\u00adric\u00adtions pro\u00advi\u00added Aguirre with a con\u00adnec\u00adtion to Germany, while at the same time kee\u00adping him at arm\u2019s length. And now this: the mayor of Hamburg invi\u00adtes Dario to beco\u00adme a German. The offer rai\u00adses many ques\u00adti\u00adons. Is this a decla\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon of love for his adopted home? And: does he feel in a posi\u00adti\u00adon to beco\u00adme a German yet?<\/p>\n
